Humber Bay Arch Bridge

Site History

The Humber Bay Arch Bridge was finished in 1994, and the bridge is 139 metres long and 6.50 metres wide. The water flows into Lake Ontario. When people didn't have vehicles, this was the greatest method to get about town. It was made by Montgomery and SisamArchitects. This bridge honours First Nations as it serves as a trading route.

Inspiration

This idea was inspired by the lake that surrounds the property. The form of the habitat is represented by the movement of a wave. It was done to create not just a beautiful habitat, but one that blends in with its surroundings.
