The house is near Queen and Spadina. It is a two-story space with a basement. There is a daycare and a school on the other side of the building, Bulwer Street. The site doesn't have a lot of greenery around the house.
The Client: Ted 40-years-old
This project aims to create a space accessible for client Ted, who suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury in a motor vehicle accident, causing paralysis in both his legs. Although Ted has undergone certain surgeries and rehabilitation programs, the injury requires him to be in a powered wheelchair with special controls to move around on his own. Apart from the accident injury, he is physically healthy.
